Why ECOEE?: For me, it started with me getting the full collection of Planet Earth and Blue Planet for Christmas. I realized that the world was way too big not to check it out, and that my biggest goal in life was to see as much of the world as I can before I die. That goal has not changed, although it makes things difficult when choosing a career. As soon as I found out about ECOEE there was no question that it was for me. A truly once in a lifetime opportunity, it never gets old seeing the reactions I get when I tell people of the trip. Initially, wilderness leadership and outdoor education were not on my priority list, and I chose the program for the experience of seeing what our country has to offer. During this trip, I am not shooting for a solid career choice. Everybody thinks they know what they want to do, but nobody really does. As for now, it is ECOEE, graduate, become a paramedic, and hopefully be accepted into the Peace Corps. If not, I am just winging it, and that is perfectly fine with me. I am pumped!
