Dr. Alexander-Albritton earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and Psychology from Augustana College and her Master of Arts in Community and Agency Counseling from Bradley University. Dr. Alexander-Albritton earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Counseling from Idaho State University where she specialized in Mental Health Counseling with core focuses in Human Growth and Development and Research and Program Evaluation. Her scholarly and research interests include women and parenting in higher education, wellness, mentoring, substance abuse, and assessment and diagnosis. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho, and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of Illinois. Clinically, Dr. Alexander-Albritton has previous experience working in in-patient and out-patient substance abuse treatment and private practice facilitating individual, couple/family, and group counseling. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and pets, traveling, running, and watching movies.
