About Me

As an assistant professor in the department of kinesiology, I teach courses in physical education curriculum, assessment driven instruction in physical education, psychosocial aspects of physical activity and sports. I received my Ph.D. in 2022 from Louisiana State University in physical education pedagogy and psychological science. I have been with WIU since 2022.

My scholarship and research passion is twofold: My main research area is Sport Education (SE) Model. I was born and grew up in a sports specialization school. My childhood was heavily influenced by sport. My past teaching and coaching experience also convinced me how educationally powerful and meaningful experience sports can bring to kids. I strongly believe sports can offer the best education if implemented appropriately. I am also interested in the psychosocial aspect of health and active living. I am passionate about teaching and dedicated to conducting impactful scholarship.
