Black Student Summit Presentation - "Who Likes Tough Guise Anyway?"
MAN presented "Who Likes Tough Guise Anyway?" at the Black Student Summit on February 4, 2012 .The program was inspired by Jackson Katz's film, Tough Guise. The program explores the expectations society sets for men and its impact on our culture through engaging group discussion. MAN presented the program again on February 28 to a group of approximately 50 students. Follow the link to our Facebook event for more information about this program:
MAN meets every Tuesday from 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the Women's Center Study Lounge. All are welcome to attend, regardless of gender. Meetings are used to plan for future events and provide the group with activities and exercises that promote learning and enlightenment.
The Vagina Monologues
MAN tabled at "The Vagina Monologues" with the Center for the Study of Masculinities and Men's Development in support of the Women's Center and the show's wonderful performers.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
MAN hosted Walk a Mile in Her Shoes on April 21, 2012 at the Sherman Hall Circle, the Internation Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence. All proceeds assisted survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through the WIRC-CAA Victim Services Program.
