WIU Curriculum Library Open to the Public

Materials in the Western Illinois University Curriculum Library may now be borrowed by the general public!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Sixteen regional counties in Illinois are included in this program, viz., Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Peoria, Pike, Rock Island, Schuyler, Stark, and Warren.
  • Once documentation is provided, these persons may be issued a special library card and may borrow materials from the Western Illinois University Curriculum Library, for a period of two weeks at a time. A picture ID is required, in addition to the library card, in order to borrow items as a security measure.
  • The materials that may be checked out are: books; CD’s; DVD’s; Teaching Aids and games.
  • These materials may not be renewed. Fines will be assessed on materials not returned on time and patrons will be charged for lost materials. Please keep track of when items are due. Borrowing privileges may be revoked at the discretion of the WIU Libraries for patrons who repeatedly or egregiously violate library policies.
  • Materials may only be obtained at the Curriculum Library itself during its standard hours of operation. Materials will not be sent elsewhere for pickup.
  • For more information, please call 309‐298‐1101, or visit the Curriculum Library Website
