General Information

AAT students must have already passed the Illinois Test of Academic Proficiency (400) and achieved a 2.75 GPA prior to matriculation at WIU.  During the first semester at WIU, candidates must complete the Technology Competency Assessment (TCA), safety training, Illinois/FBI fingerprint background investigation, legal aspects component for SPED 200 (see below) and reflective paper I.  Candidates are required to be fully accepted to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) before they will be allowed to register for the second semester.  Questions concerning the reflective paper I should be directed to the C & I Department Chair, Horrabin Hall 69, 298-1961.  Course sequence chart.

Satisfactory Completion fulfills the requirements for SPED 200.
