Why Counseling?

When I worked as a human services caseworker for the State of Illinois' Department of Human Services, I realized I enjoyed being an advocate for the people in my community. I found that I was passionate about educating people about the resources available to them to aid in their overall personal wellness. In this role, I discovered that I wanted to do even more. That's when I realized that I wanted to be a counselor.
