The Integrated MBA programs at WIU give students the opportunity to complete their undergraduate degree AND earn the graduate degree that is a recognized credential among employers: the MBA – all in five years.
WHAT'S AN INTEGRATED DEGREE PROGRAM
An integrated degree program is a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree that fit seamlessly together so that both can be completed in a five year time period, saving a student both time and money. It allows students to start taking graduate courses during the senior year and counting some of those courses towards both their bachelor’s degree and towards a master’s degree.
Students in an Integrated MBA major are allowed to take two graduate courses during their senior year. These courses count toward both undergraduate degree requirements and MBA requirements. This means students in the integrated degree program take two fewer classes than students who earn both degrees without going through an integrated degree program.
Integrated MBA students “lock in” the graduate tuition rate that appeared in the graduate catalog when they first enrolled at WIU. This can save you hundreds of dollars.
FINISH THE MBA IN ONE YEAR
Students can finish their MBA at least one semester earlier than they would if they did not participate in an integrated degree program. Following the two bridge courses during senior year, integrated program students typically take one class during the summer and four classes during the fall and spring semester, and complete the MBA one year after receiving the bachelor’s degree.
Two of the undergraduate majors that have been integrated with the MBA (Computer Science and Law Enforcement) are the first of their kind nationally. Students from these integrated degree programs can earn an undergraduate degree in CS or LEJA with a Pre-MBA minor AND an AACSB-accredited MBA in only five years. Only WIU provides this opportunity.
To be admitted into an integrated degree program, you must have:
- a declared major in ACCT, CS, ECON, FIN, HRM, LEJA, MGT, MKTG, or SCM (LEJA and CS majors must also have a Pre-MBA minor),
- a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA,
