Jay Heubner, President and General Manager - Ace International Holdings

Jay Heubner

Jay Heubner is a 36-year veteran of Ace Hardware Corporation. As the leader of Ace’s global operations, Heubner is responsible for establishing strategic direction and operational focus for Ace International Holdings, as well as expanding and promoting the Ace brand globally while maximizing shareholder value in the company.

Prior to leading Ace International Holdings, Heubner served as the Director of Retail Learning & Development for Ace Hardware Corporation. He also held the positions of Director of Retail Training, Customer Insights & B2B, and of Director of Retail Business Development.

Heubner provided the vision and driving force behind Ace’s ‘Certified Ace Helpful’ retail training curriculum. He is also credited with leading the charge to develop a customer-centric, “prove it”-type approach to store level brand fulfillment certification. With a proven track record for developing future leaders and highly engaged teams, Heubner has traveled the world presenting his practical leadership development philosophy to business leaders and store managers alike.

Heubner serves as an Advocate volunteer and supports Compassion International, an organization whose mission is to release children worldwide from physical, economic, social and spiritual poverty. He is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

Heubner resides in Chicago’s western suburbs with his wife Chris of 36 years. The couple have three married adult children, as well as her three wonderful granddaughters-with two more arriving this year. Chris and Jay have also served as host parents for three years to two wonderful Chinese students.

Chris Heubner, Human Resource Manager - Wheaton Academy (WA)

Chris Heubner works as the HR Manager at Wheaton Academy (WA), one of the oldest and most respected private Christian high schools in America. Over the last 12 years she has been involved in recruiting and HR compliance at WA with a variety of administrative support roles in Wheaton Academy’s operations, and international program.

Chris attended Western Illinois University in the business program for three years and transferred to the University of Illinois Chicago to reside with her husband as he started his career at Ace Hardware in the Chicago area. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources.

Chris served as an HR Representative and Plant Trainer in the leading check printing company in the U.S. Her experience in business includes developing systems to further organization and fiscal efficiencies, improving and expanding training and development for production and services, payroll management, benefit analyst, 403(b) retirement administration, and creating a performance-based compensation system for private high schools.

In her spare time, Chris enjoys reading, hiking, golfing and traveling with her husband. Her second home is in Panama City, Panama.
