Career Days

To give students a better foothold in their job search, the college has organized Career Days with activities that have included an etiquette dinner, mock interviews, resume and career fair prep workshops, a military science leadership reaction courses, nationally acclaimed speakers, student case competitions, a student organization bulletin board contest, and panels featuring CBT Alumni and industry experts.

Executive in Residence

Beginning in 2005, successful alumni and friends of the college have shared how they have charted successful careers.

Robert and Mary Ferguson Lecture Series

The series was developed through the generosity of the late Dr. Robert Ferguson and his wife, Mary. Throughout his teaching career, Dr. Ferguson firmly believed that our students benefit from the depth and breadth of experience, especially by seeing and hearing from key business leaders who are illustrations of success.

Department & Program Events

Economics Day

Economics Day features sessions concerning issues in U.S. and global economics. It is open and free to WIU students, faculty, staff and the local community.

Supply Chain Management Day

The event includes an afternoon of informal meet-and-greet opportunities with company representatives. The day also includes presentations by many industry leaders in the Supply Chain Management field with information about possible career and internship opportunities.
