Minors

The Department of Engineering Technology offers four minors:

  • Construction Technology
    Emphasis on construction concepts, materials, and estimating
  • Manufacturing Technology
    Choice of one of three areas of emphasis: computer controlled manufacturing;electronic circuits and control systems; or computer aided drafting and design
  • Graphic Communication
    Focus on design concepts, desktop publishing, image manipulation and composition, and web and interactive design
  • Industrial Technology
    Electives in one area of specialization: drafting/design, graphic communication,construction, production, or electronics and process control

Graduates of our program have been hired by companies such as AT&T Communications, Capitol-EMI Records, Caterpillar, Eastman Kodak, General Electric, Illinois Department of Transportation, John Deere, and Kraft Food.
