About WIU SCIMA

Objectives

  • To introduce students to accounting, information technology, finance, and other careers in business;
  • To strengthen the knowledge and commitment of those pursuing accounting, information technology, and finance careers;
  • To encourage the continued improvement of the professional skills;
  • To promote community service.

Membership Eligibility

Membership in SCIMA is open to all undergraduate and graduate business majors. Membership dues are $45 per year and includes membership in the National Institute of Management Accountants. To be initiated, or to be a member in good standing, students are required to complete the following:

  • Attend all business meetings and three professional presentations each semester;
  • Take part in volunteer service activities, all fundraising activities, new member initiation, and one additional activity each semester; and
  • Pay yearly dues.
