Additional Requirements

Begin math requirements first semester freshman year.

Upon initial or re-entry full-time enrollment at Western Illinois University, students with 11 or fewer semester hours completed must enroll in and pass two FYE courses. Students with 12-23 hours completed must enroll in and pass one FYE course.

Must have 60 semester hours to register for 300/400 level business courses.

Have a minimum of 120 semester hours to graduate.

Enrollment in the Pre-Business program does not guarantee acceptance into one of the major areas as a candidate for the Bachelor of Business degree.

Pre-Business students who have earned 60 hours, but are otherwise ineligible to declare a business major, will be limited to a maximum of 29 hours of business courses and may be removed from business courses. Exceptions require permission from the Dean of the College of Business and Technology.

Bachelor of Business majors must complete at least 50% of the required business credit hours in residence.
