Education:

As an undergrad at Knox College and Carl Sandburg College, Ryan earned degrees in both Psychology and Biology.  He holds a Master of Science degree in Experimental Psychology from Western Illinois University, where he studied psychostimulant behavioral profiles in the laboratory, as well as cognition and neuroscience.

Other Activities:

Ryan’s areas of emphasis in psychology include Cognitive Neuroscience: the biological processes behind thought and motivation. Previous research centers on the investigation and augmentation of attentional processes, and personality measures.

He is the faculty advisor to the WIU-QC Psychology Club, member of the Higher Learning Commission Persistence and Completion Academy, Co-chair of the WIU-QC Research & Scholarship Symposium, and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
