July 7, 2009
MACOMB, ILL. – Joshua Joseph has been appointed as instructional technology system manager in the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Illinois University effective June 8, 2009. Joseph comes to WIU with extensive experience in web analysis, design and development, coding, documentation, and implementation of client/server, Internet, and Intranet data processing applications.
“Joshua’s main responsibilities will include management of the CAS web presence, front end development of websites for the CAS academic departments, and assisting faculty with development of online and hybrid courses,” said College of Arts and Sciences interim dean Susan Martinelli-Fernandez. “Joshua’s excellent background made him an ideal candidate for this position and we are very fortunate to have him join us.”
“I have spent my time thus far studying the architecture of CAS websites and working with folks from web services,” said Joseph. “The university is ready to undertake a major redesign of its web presence and I am looking forward to working with Dean Martinelli-Fernandez and departmental chairpersons in the coming months to manage the resulting changes across all our websites.”
