The following information is provided to help you determine your math placement.
Western offers Math 099 - Intermediate Algebra, a non-credit preparatory course designed to help students with a weaker math background be successful in credit courses. Besides being offered at Western, many community colleges offer courses that are equivalent to Math 099. In order to avoid taking Math 099, one can try placing out of it by taking the COMPASS placement test. This test is available at Western and at many community colleges.
