Irish Study Abroad Program in Summer 2012

Jan 23, 2012

WIU's new 3-week Summer 2012 Irish Study Abroad Program based at Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland -- "WIU in Belfast" -- will take place in late July and early August 2012.

Led by Associate Professor of History Dr. Jennifer McNabb, this interdisciplinary program, for which undergraduate and graduate students will earn 6 hours of WIU credit, combines classroom instruction by Queen's University faculty with excursions around Belfast. Undergraduate students enrolled in this section of Hist 379 will fulfill the "Global Issues" requirement for their degree.

Students from all majors may participate, and while programming will focus on the history, culture, and politics of Northern Ireland, coursework will allow students to develop their own interests on a wide range of topics and fields. For further information, contact Dr. McNabb.
