Graduate Student Research Funding Available

Feb 20, 2009

Members of the History Department's Graduate Committee invite all interested History graduate students to submit applications for research funding through the History Department's Professor Emeritus Fund Awards for Graduate Research.

The deadline for History graduate students' grant proposals for Professor Emeritus Graduate Research Awards is March 2, 2009. Funding is available to defray the expenses incurred while conducting historical research for WIU courses and for Masters' theses or special projects. M.A. students in History may also apply for Professor Emeritus Awards to help defray travel expenses when presenting their own research papers at off-campus academic conferences.

The maximum amount of each individual Professor Emeritus Award is $500; the maximum amount of Professor Emeritus funding for which an individual student may apply, regardless of the number of Awards received, is $1,000.
