History 126 Offered Online this Summer at WIU

Dr. Ute Chamberlin, Assistant Professor of History, will offer an online section of History 126, Western Civilization since 1648 as part of WIU's Summer Session this summer (STAR 52917). This General Education Humanities course provides an overview of the history of Western Civilization from the end of the Thirty Years' War to the present. It will introduce students to the most important events, individuals, and ideas that influenced and shaped the course of European history over the past 350 years.

The course content will be delivered through audio lectures supported by PowerPoint presentations. Students will complete readings from the textbook and from online sources. Students' grades will be assessed through a variety of writing assignments and their participation in online discussions.
