Two History Faculty Chosen for CAS Outstanding Faculty Awards

Two History Department faculty members were selected to receive two of the eight WIU College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Outstanding Faculty Awards for 2009. Dr. Scott W. Palmer, Associate Professor of History, and Dr. Jennifer L. McNabb, Assistant Professor of History, were honored for their accomplishments at the Annual CAS Awards Reception on Friday, May 8 at 4 p.m. in the University Union's LaMoine Room.
Dr. Jennifer McNabb was chosen as this year's recipient of the CAS Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching, and Dr. Scott Palmer was chosen as this year's recipient of the CAS Outstanding Faculty Award for Research/Scholarship.
As the CAS Outstanding Faculty Award winners in their respective categories, Dr. Palmer and Dr. McNabb will represent the College of Arts and Sciences in the competition for the University's Outstanding Faculty Awards in those areas.
