Dr. Guan has wide ranging research interests in forensic, environmental, and analytical chemistry, especially in analytical method development and validation using
chromatography and mass spectrometry. Her recent research has focused on sample preparation and analysis of drugs of abuse, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, gunshot
residue, explosives, food adulterants, and toxins.
