For my Ph.D., I synthesized peptides and studied their mechanisms of action
on the neurons of snails, Helix Asperse, by using electrophysiological methods.
After I got my Ph.D. degree, I went to the University of Iowa to work as a postdoctoral research
Associate. My postdoctoral research focused on studying potassium channel interaction in fruit
flies, Drosophila melanogaster, by using molecular biological and electrophysiological approaches.
I enjoy teaching very much; it is nice to see my students learn something from my classes.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, photography, origami and Chinese dance.
