Board of Trustees

Michael Quigley, Macomb, IL; elected  to serve July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.

Michael Quigley, an undergraduate student originally from Camp Point, IL, was elected by the student body to serve as the Student Representative to the Western Illinois University Board of Trustees from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. Mr. Quigley has held several leadership positions at Western Illinois University. He has served as the Student Government Association Speaker, written a bill to appreciate veterans.

Mr. Quigley is not only a student leader, but also holds the distinction of an National Gaurdsman where he achieved the honor of holding the 108th Sustainment Brigade Soldier of the Year Award and went on to be a top contender at the state level.

While in high school, Mr. Quigley served as the senior class student representative. At WIU, he has served as the Black Student Association Senator for the Student Government Association.

As a member of the WIU Board of Trustees, Mr. Quigley is dedicated to representing the students and helping unite the student voice. He plans to increase financial aid awareness among students and bridge the gap between the university and surrounding community.
