American Opera Studio Performance

This past Friday and Saturday the BCA presented 2 shows in COFAC by the American Opera Studio.  Friday was Broadway scenes, and Saturday was scenes from popular Opera’s. Both nights were filled with wonderful selections sung by very talented people.

Thank you to everyone who came out to see the show! We appreciate your support, especially in the Summer months, because this is a new area for the BCA.

For those of you who missed it we will be posting select pictures on our facebook fanpage.

Congratulations Danny!

Dr. Danny Terry is being honored by the Performing Arts Society on May 4th along with other individuals and corporations that have greatly contributed to the arts in Macomb.

Dr. Terry is a faculty member of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs, and has helped select seasons, valet park cars, and usher a large majority of shows put on by the BCA. He does all this while still teaching at WIU. He is a Professor in the agriculture department, where he teaches Ag Economics.

Please Leave a Comment

Hello everyone!

I was thinking today, about this new blog site. It is very new to the BCA and other organizations on the WIU campus. So I am curious if anyone is reading this yet.  So if you see this post please leave a comment! Feel free to tell me what you think about the BCA, or what you would like to see come to the WIU campus. This is not only helpful to the members of the BCA, but to you as well. With more input on how we can better serve you we can start looking at more acts that you are interested in seeing.

Kevin L. Maynard

Note: I will most likely re-post this periodically, especially once we get more advertising about this blog out to everyone at WIU and the surrounding communities.
