Professor and Sculptor, Greely Myatt to visit the Department of Art
Professor and Sculptor, Greely Myatt is scheduled to visit the Department of Art next week. Professor Greely works in a wide variety of sculptural materials. A twenty year retrospective of his work was reviewed in the recent February issue of Art in America magazine.
He has shown his work internationally and is currently represented by David Lusk gallery in Memphis and Sandler Hudson Gallery in Atlanta. Professor Greely is also the sculpture area coordinator at the University of Memphis where he has taught for the past twenty years. He will be giving a slide presentation on Wed. night at 6:30p.m. on March 31 in Garwood room 10. He will also give a demonstration/workshop from 11:00 to 1:30 on Thursday April 1 in the wood-shop (Garwood basement) where students are encourage to attend. Students who were interested in graduate school are also encourage to speak with him about the graduate program at the University of Memphis.
