Schroth to Receive COEHS Distinguished Alumnus Award
Richard Schroth '72 (RPTA graduate), will receive the second COEHS Distinguished Alumnus award on Friday, May 2. He will be on campus speaking to classes and the campus community on that day. More details will be posted at www.wiu.edu/coehs, closer to the date.
RPTA Professional Development Conference Set
Reminder! Mark your calendars for the RPTA Department's Professional Development Conference (PDC) on April 17-19. Founding department chair, Dr. Tony Mobley, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.
Included in the festivities on April 17 is the RPTA Big Bogey Classic, to be held at Western's Harry Mussatto Golf Course. For more PDC details and registration, please click here to visit the RPTA website.
The early bird registration fee of $10 is due April 4. Following that date, a registration of $15 will be accepted until April 15.
Celebrate the 30 Year Career of Mike "Pendy" Pendergast
Join the Athletic Training Education Program in celebrating Mike "Pendy" Pendergast's 30 years of dedicated service to Western Illinois University. Events to commemorate his career include the 2008 Leatherneck Spring Football Game on April 19th at 1:00 p.m. followed by a dinner reception at 6:00 p.m. in the Olson Dining Hall. Cost to attend the celebration dinner is $20 per person and reservations are due on April 11, 2008. National Senior Health and Fitness Day Scheduled
Are you over the age of 50?
The students of the course Kinesiology 563, Physical Activity in the Older Adult, have a day planned especially for you! They invite you to the National Senior Health and Fitness Day on April 30 in Brophy Hall, on WIU's Macomb campus. Join them between the hours of 2-6 p.m. for fun, physical activities, fitness testing, and free health screenings. Raffles and free giveaways will be awarded.
