Degree: Will receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from WIU
Advice for Freshman: Get involved and do not be afraid to speak up. Getting involved on campus is one of the best decisions I have made here at WIU. I have gained so many new experiences, friendships, and met a lot of new people. This campus has so much to offer students. Also, do not be afraid to speak up in class and ask questions. Professors are always willing to help when you are not understanding something or just want to talk about career choices.
Favorite WIU Memory: My favorite WIU memory would have to be chairing the SALC signature event, Paint the Paws, in the Fall of 2012. Just seeing everyone, students, faculty, and alumni, come together and show pride for WIU was amazing. This was by far the best experience so far.
Family/Hobbies: I am an only child with many aunts, uncles, and cousins that live in and out of state. My father farms crops not too far from Macomb and my mother works in a drug store as a pharmacy tech in Quincy. I have two cats, Friskie and Socks, and a baby turtle, Ted.
