Business Information: Retired Director of Choirs and Director of Student Activities at Hinsdale South High school, located in Darien, Illinois. Thirty-five plus years in secondary choral music education. Past positions include his serving as the Director of the NIU University Chorus as well as an adjunct position at North Central College. At present he directs the Young Men’s Chorus, part of the Young Naperville Singers while also serving as a Student Teaching Supervisor for Illinois State University. He is also the Vice-President of the Central Division of the American Choral Directors Association.
Advice for Freshman: Balance is the key--work hard, get involved and have fun.
Favorite WIU Memory: Working with the WIU Summer Camp Program and Staff--I attended as a camper in the summer of '69. Over the course of 10 years, I served in various capacities as counselor, head counselor and camp director.
Family/Hobbies: My wife, Sue and I have been married for 36 years. Hobbies include traveling, dining, grilling on the deck, theater, time with family and friends, attending concerts and a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs!! Our daughter, Rachel, is the Director of the Chicago Botanic Gardens Plants of Concert Program.
