Amber Duncan 2000
Degree: Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from WIU and Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri in 2002.
Business Information: Manager, Compensation Consulting at CBIZ, Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri
Advice for Freshman: Take your studies seriously, but certainly find time for fun. Get involved on campus and get to know your professors. The education and experience you gain and friends you meet at WIU will provide a foundation to last a lifetime.
Favorite WIU Memory: My favorite memories while attending WIU include meeting my husband and other lifelong friends and all of the fun we had together, Homecoming week, planning Homecoming and other events as a member of the University Union Board, being an intramural floor-hockey champion and my one-semester stint as a not-so-coordinated Wrangler (now called Westernettes). As an alumnus, my favorite memories include taking my children to the Homecoming parade, attending WIU men's and women's basketball games, the Purple and Gold Auction and our part in taking WIU football tailgating to a new level.
Family Information: I met my husband, Jason Duncan '00, while attending WIU. He is the North Region President of First Bankers Trust Company. After living in St. Louis, we settled back in Macomb to raise our two two children, Jack and Ellie. In my free time, I enjoy hauling my kids around to their activities, running, golf and attending WIU sporting events.
