Printing to Your Copier: Print Software
If you intend to set up a printer in Active Directory (AD), you do not need to download software. Proceed to "Adding an Active Directory (AD) Printer". You only need to download print software if you intend to set up a printer as an IP printer in Windows or to set up a printer on a Mac.
Windows
Canon imageRUNNER 5070
Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003
- Go to the Canon imageRUNNER 5070 downloads page.
- Download the latest PCL6 print driver INF file (called "PCL6_v5.10_win2k-2003-XP_INF.exe" [as of Aug 18, 2006]). Note: Canon lists more recent versions of files toward the top of the downloads page. Look for files and descriptions with the keywords "PCL6"; "INF"; "Windows"; and "XP", "win2k", or "2000".
- Follow the Print Software Installation Instructions. If you encounter errors in or difficulty with the instructions, please contact DPS.

Windows ME, Windows 98

Windows – Gestetner DSm415
Windows – Select a PCL 6, PCL 5e, or PostScript 3 print driver from the list of drivers corresponding to your PC's operating system (e.g., Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 2000, etc.) on the Gestetner DSm415/DSm415f/DSm415pf Software Download page. UCSS recommends that PC users use a PCL 6 driver.
Mac OS X – PostScript (PS) – Canon imageRUNNER 5000 & 5070
Download the file called "iR-PSv150MacOSX.hqx" from the Canon imageRUNNER 5070/5570/6570 Driver & Downloads page. This download contains the necssary files for all of the following UCP copier-printer models
- Canon imageRUNNER 5000
- Canon imageRUNNER 5070
Mac OS X – PCL – Canon imageRUNNER 2230 & 3530
Download the file called "PCL5e-c-6_v671_Setup.exe" from the Canon imageRUNNER 2230/2830/3530 Driver & Downloads page. This download contains the necssary files for all of the following UCP copier-printer models

Mac OS X – Gestetner DSm415
Macintosh – Select a PostScript 3 print driver or PPD installer from the list of drivers corresponding to your Mac's operating system (Mac OS X or Mac OS) on the Gestetner DSm415/DSm415f/DSm415pf Software Download page. You may also optionally download a Printer Utility for Mac installer corresponding to your Mac's operating system.
