Description: TedEd is a platform that allows educators to create their own interactive video lessons based on any video that can be found on YouTube. This includes your own videos. This tool provides opportunities for formative assessment of content knowledge and it is great for providing engaging guided practice activities to assist students in comprehension of content delivered via video. During this workshop, we will discuss best practices for using video in the classroom and ways to use TedEd in your courses. We will demonstrate the step-by-step procedure for setting up an account and preparing a lesson within TedEd, and how to direct students to TedEd lessons from within a Western Online course. It is recommended that you have familiarity with using YouTube to upload video and search for videos prior to attending this workshop.

This is a simulcast event allowing for both face-to-face participation from the Library 3rd Floor Classroom or by logging into to join via Zoom.
