'Art and Self Perception Series'

Staff and faculty at Western Illinois University Libraries are coordinating the "Art and Self Perception" series of events and lectures for the 2012-13 academic year to promote art events. According to Dean of Libraries Phyllis Self, a majority of the events will take place either in the Leslie F. Malpass Library on the Macomb campus or at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport (IA).

"This is a wonderful opportunity for several departments and units at Western, such as the museum studies program, the art department and the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs, to collaborate and cross-promote their events to a broader audience. I hope people will participate in several events," Self said.

Save the Date for Malpass Mini-Golf

Here is your chance to play golf in November!

University Libraries will host its first Malpass Mini-Golf fundraiser on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Leslie F. Malpass Library. Join us for this fun, family-friendly event as we transform Malpass Library into a miniature golf course for the evening, with holes on each of our six floors showcasing everything University Libraries have to offer. The funds raised will go towards the Library Atrium Society Fund to support miscellaneous operation expenses.
