Online Learning at WIU

Online learning is as popular as ever, and WIU continues to expand its offerings. Students enrolled in online courses do not have to attend face-to-face meetings; assignments and class participation are often set up so students can work on the class according to their individual schedules. Students have access to an instructor through the online course, and he or she may be contacted during the course for assistance.

Online courses are taught at the same academic level as on-campus courses. Western Illinois University strives to ensure that students taking online courses receive the same quality education they would receive in the traditional classroom. In fact, the online classroom environment can contribute to the development of good and regular study habits.
