Dean Phyllis Self Announces RetirementDean of Libraries Dr. Phyllis Self has announced her retirement effective May 1, 2013. Self has served as the Dean of Libraries at Western Illinois University since 2006. Provost Ken Hawkinson recently met with library staff to review the search process and answer questions. He has appointed Billy Clow, Dean of the College of Fine Arts & Communication, as the chair of the search committee. There will be three faculty, two civil service, and one COAP representative on the committee. The Provost anticipates having the new Dean on board by July 1, 2013.
