Congratulations to our Study Abroad Scholarship Winners!
Atageldi Atageldiyev is a sophomore Pre-Supply Chain Management major. Atageldi was awarded the Massey Scholarship in the amount of $500 NZD. The scholarship was awarded in recognition of academic and personal merit. This scholarship is awarded by Massey University in New Zealand to students who will study through the ISEP Direct program at Massey.
Afsha Merchant is a senior Psychology and Spanish double major studying at the University of Granada. Afsha won a $1,500 Diversity Scholarship from CEA which is "For CEA students from diverse backgrounds and/or for students who have had a personal experience with diversity." This scholarship has a range based on the affiliate status of the home university of the student; Afsha was awarded the highest amount possible.
Carlie Nelson is a senior Elementary Education major who will be studying abroad spring semester at James Cook University in Australia. She was awarded the Drs. James F. and Syndy M. Conger Study Abroad Scholarship in the amount of $500. This award is intended to assist WIU students who want to study abroad for a semester and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Joshua Schoenhardt is a junior Marketing major who will be studying abroad at Griffith University in Australia. He was awarded a $1,300 travel grant from AustraLearn sponsored by Qantas to cover the cost of round-trip airfare to Australia.
