Rick Springfield to perform at Family Day Tailgating September 13
With 25 million albums sold, 17 top-40 hits, including “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I've Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch,” as well as a 1981 Grammy® for Best Male Rock Vocal win for his No. 1 hit single “Jessie’s Girl”, Rick Springfield is set to rock the stage at this fall's Family Day tailgating concert to be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Q Lot tailgating area at WIU. The new free admission outdoor music venue kicked-off two years ago with the highly touted Journey tribute band, Evolution. This past fall's welcome to long standing rockers from Illinois, .38 Special, set the stage for a long run of known artists at Family Day tailgating that parents will remember and families can enjoy.
Join the University Union Board as they host Rick Springfield at Family Day tailgating from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014. The event is free with a large standing area in front of the festival stage. There is ample space, so make your plans to attend!
